Henna hair

- home

The most recent lock-down is over and as of today, pubs are open again. Since everyone will go now, we’ve decided to wait a bit and not catch the virus one week before I get vaccinated!

To kill some time, I dyed my hair. I just did the ends to avoid the mess of a full head henna application, and so I don’t have to commit to a lifetime of touching up roots.

Here’s one before, and two after photos:

I like the colour, which is especially nice in the sunlight. But maybe I should have asked Mr W to help apply the henna for a more obvious colour block with a straight edge. Instead, it looks a bit like I’m growing out an old colour.

I applied the henna by putting my hair into two pigtails, rubbed in the henna mix, put each pigtail in a plastic bag and secured them in place with hair-ties. Much less messy than doing the whole head. I’ve left it on for four hours, and then washed it out with shampoo.
