April in the Pentlands

Howdy!

It’s April! I’m in Scotland! Stuff is happening!


Today I realised that I can get to the Pentlands on foot almost as quickly as using buses, and it’s even a pleasant walk. Once I got there, a horde of young, sweaty men in military gear and big guns came running down the road, many of them responded to my smirk with smiles. That was nice.

I then chatted with a friendly local about raptors as we watched a buzzard and a kestrel soar over our heads. We walked together for a bit. That was nice too.

I walked 10 miles, took very long breaks, and enjoyed the sun. Lovely. I may have a tan now. Below are some pictures.
