Five Magpies Are Sitting in front of my Window

One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told.

Why does it say five first and then in the end it’s seven? Am I too stupid to get it? - der Erich

There’s nothing to get. I saw 5 magpies outside and remembered some superstition about them which I looked up. Wikipedia gave me that rhyme. So I think I can expect some silver in the near future :) - Maike
